Are these PDF tools really free?

Yes. Every tool on this site is free to use as often as you like, with no account, no watermark and no daily task limit. The site is meant to pay for itself with a few ads kept away from the tools, so there is nothing to unlock and no trial that turns into a subscription.

Do my files get uploaded anywhere?

No. Each tool runs inside your web browser, using open-source PDF code that downloads with the page. Your file is read and changed on your own phone or computer and is never sent to a server. You can test this yourself: load a tool, turn off Wi-Fi, and it still works.

This matters for the files people most often need to change: signed contracts, tax forms, ID scans and bank statements. A tool that uploads keeps a copy for at least a while. Here they never leave your device at all. See how our tools work.

Which PDF tools are available?

The site is being built one tool at a time, and each tool goes live only after testing. 125 of 125 planned tools are live now. Tools are grouped into organize, convert to PDF, convert from PDF, edit, security, optimize, and templates for documents such as invoices and resumes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. The tools work in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone. Nothing is installed, and the page works on a phone as well as on a laptop.

Is there a file size limit?

The only limit is your device memory, because the work happens on your device. On a phone the tools accept up to about 120 MB in total; laptops handle much more. Each tool page lists the sizes we tested.

Can these tools open password-protected PDFs?

A PDF locked with a password has to be unlocked first. The Unlock PDF tool removes a password you already know. No tool here tries to guess or break unknown passwords.

Who makes this site?

Desksera is built and tested by Khokhar Sab, a web developer. Read about the site and the testing and corrections policy.
