How do I make a shipping label?

Type your return address under From and the recipient's address under Ship to: name, street address with any apartment or suite, then city, state and ZIP Code on the last line. Add an order number, service and weight, pick the label size, and download the PDF. Print at actual size and stick it on the largest side.

1. Type the From address.
2. Type the Ship to address; add more with a blank line between.
3. Add the order, service and weight, and any FRAGILE mark.
4. Choose 4 x 6 or half sheet.
5. Download, print at actual size and attach.

How should a shipping address be written?

USPS Publication 28 asks for every line of the address to share the same left margin and prefers capital letters on all lines. Put the name first, then the street address with any apartment or suite number, then the city, state and ZIP Code on the last line. The Addresses in capitals option converts the text for you.

Does this label include postage?

No. It prints the addresses and your own notes, which is enough for hand delivery, couriers that take labeled boxes, or packages where you add postage at the counter. For postage and tracking, buy a label from your carrier, or take the box to the post office with this address label already on it.
