How do I convert WebP to PDF?

Press Choose WebP files and pick one or more images. Drag them into order and rotate any that are sideways. Pick the page size, orientation and margins, then press Convert to PDF and Download. Each image gets its own page, scaled to fit with its shape kept.

  1. Press Choose WebP files.
  2. Drag images into order; rotate any that need it.
  3. Pick Page size, Orientation and Margins.
  4. Press Convert to PDF, then Download.

Why can't I open or print a WebP file?

WebP is a newer image format made by Google for faster web pages. Browsers open it, but some photo printers, office forms, upload portals and older Windows and Mac programs do not. Converting to PDF gives you a file that opens and prints everywhere, and puts several images in one document.

Does converting WebP to PDF lose quality?

PDF cannot store WebP directly, so each image is decoded once at full size and stored again. Photos are saved as JPEG at high quality; images with transparency or lossless WebP are saved as PNG, which loses nothing. In our test, a 622 KB WebP photo became a 1.0 MB PDF.

Are transparent areas kept?

Yes. WebP images with a transparent background are stored as PNG with their transparency, so the page color shows behind them. If you prefer, choose a background color to fill those areas, such as white for printing, or the color of the paper you will use.

Limits and fixes

  • Animated WebP: only the first frame goes into the PDF.
  • Very large images are scaled to at most 8,192 pixels on the long side, which still prints sharply on any page size.
  • Phones handle about 120 MB of images at once; use a laptop for more.
